"The Lonely Trail Home"

The Mobius Way

I stand on a twisted path unaware,
The way blurs and recedes,
Curling into the unknown future.

Dare I step out?

A pullcart of memories holds
Failures, successes, sorrows,
Joys, loves, hurts.

Dare I let go?

Society surrounds me
Criticizing, pushing, pulling,
Judging, praising, luring.

Dare I set my own course?

My fears restrain me, warning of
Dangers, losses, despairs,
Failures, sorrows, hurts.

Dare I risk all?

My heart encourages me, telling of
Ease, comfort, peace,
Successes, joys, loves.

Dare I believe?

I tread a twisted path,
The way blurs and recedes,
Curling into the unknown future.

My God enables me with
Power, spirit, insight,
Faith, hope, charity.

Dare I not believe?
